Voinovich (R-OH) and Lugar (R-IN) have both spoke out against the failed strategy in Iraq.
"In my judgment, the costs and risks of continuing down the current path outweigh the potential benefits that might be achieved," Lugar, R-Ind., said in a Senate floor speech. "Persisting indefinitely with the surge strategy will delay policy adjustments that have a better chance of protecting our vital interests over the long term." (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19426648/)
He (Voinovich) said the Iraqi people must become more involved and "I don't think they'll get it until they know we're leaving." (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19442715)
However, both articles also state neither will support legislation to end the war.
I believe our own Norm Coleman has taken very similar positions, speaking out against the war, doubting the strategy, doubting the president's ability to make decisions in this war, yet refuses to end the war.
That is what is wrong with the current Republicans and the war, all talk, no votes. I wouldn't be surprised if Norm Coleman says all of these great things against the war during the campaign but will neglect to tell Minnesota that his rhetoric doesn't match his votes. That is why he is a great politician, slimy, lying, and he does it all with a beautiful new smile, new because he had that gap fixed.
